Promote equity in access to higher education by adopting open educational resources (OER) in your classroom!

From February 1 through March 31, 2024, UK Libraries will be accepting applications for the Open Educational Resources Grant Program, known formerly as the Alternative Textbook Grant Program. The program encourages the adoption and creation of OER for use in UK courses, and since its launch in 2016 has leveraged just over $100,000 in grant funds into over $1.5 million in student savings.

The 2024-25 grant cycle will welcome a vastly expanded range of project types and sizes, and grantees will receive tailored project support from Affordable Course Content Librarian Stephen Krueger.

Submissions are welcome from all academic disciplines. For more information, visit our Call for Proposals page or drop in on a virtual information session on Tuesday, February 13, 4pm–5pm (Zoom link), or Friday, March 1, 12pm–1pm (Zoom link).

For any additional questions about the program or the application, please contact Krueger at stephen.krueger@uky.edu.
