The Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching is pleased to welcome you to the Symposium on Teaching and AI on May 2, 2025. During the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025, twenty-five faculty members selected to the Teaching Innovation Institute worked collaboratively to explore the varied and shifting impacts of generative Artificial Intelligence on teaching, learning, and research. Their efforts in the institute culminated in projects focused on supporting students and colleagues in their approaches to generative AI. The panels during this symposium will feature members of this cohort as they share key takeaways from their projects.
We will start the day with coffee and registration at 9:45. Opening remarks will begin at 10:15 with the keynote starting at 10:30. Then we will head into 3 concurrent panel sessions over the course of the day with lunch scheduled in between. A scheduled at a glance can be found below with a more in-depth program coming soon. Symposium attendees can expect to learn about AI-based assignment design strategies, tips for sharing AI strategies with colleagues, ways for involving students in course-wide approaches to AI, findings from investigation of specific AI tools, and more.
