Learning Across Latitudes: Transforming your Course for Study Abroad
Join us for an interactive workshop on integrating principles of experiential and transformative learning into existing or future faculty-directed study abroad courses. This session is open to instructors with already planned courses or those who might be interested planning future courses. We will explore the process of (re)designing syllabi, assessments, and assignments to foster impact transformative learning that enhances intercultural engagement and challenges and broadens students’ perspectives.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a course syllabus, assessment, or assignment they might wish to (re)design for a study abroad opportunity, but this is not a requirement. Whether you’re developing a new course or refining an existing one, all are welcome for this conversation on leveraging the rich learning opportunities presented by education abroad. This workshop is offered through a collaboration between Education Abroad & Exchanges and CELT. NB: A faculty-directed education abroad program is a UK course designed and led by UK faculty or staff abroad.
