Kate Collins is a faculty/instructional consultant at CELT. In this role she collaborates with instructors and other stakeholders across the institution to support effective and engaging teaching and learning strategies. Her areas of focus include inclusive pedagogy, social constructivism, and trauma-informed teaching. She has experience with educational technologies as well, particularly collaborative learning with the Google suite, having attended the Google Higher Education Academy in Boston. At UK she has managed teams of learning assistants for large-enrollment core courses and teaches students in the academic orientation course. Kate has also worked on CELT’s international faculty development projects to strengthen institutional partnerships and explore active and engaged learning across cultural and political boundaries.
