Pedagogy of Play Summer Camp

Playful learning in higher education can deepen engagement, foster creativity, and support well-being—all without sacrificing academic rigor. When students interact with curricula through play, they become more motivated, curious, and willing to take intellectual risks. During this three-day "summer camp" participants will apply play-based approaches to their teaching, and design a playful assessment for their course(s).

This conference aims to foster innovation in education by exploring high-impact practices in teaching and learning and features dynamic workshops, a keynote address from Dr. Sarah L. Bunnell from Elon University, and opportunities to connect with educators from across Kentucky and beyond.
