As instructors continue to look for ways to encourage student engagement and participation in their courses, questions about attendance and attendance policies remain some of the most common we receive at CELT. Join us for an interactive, discussion-based workshop to explore strategies for designing (or redesigning) your attendance policy in ways that attend to the needs of the students, support the core goals of the course, and accommodate your plans as the instructor. For those of you interested in thinking about attendance over the break, we’ve created the resource below with questions and suggestions to help guide your thought process. The workshop will serve as a next step, providing some tools, suggestions, as well as space for brainstorming and problem-solving.
