CELT releases AI Resources for Instructors
As the start of the fall semester nears and instructors make final preparations for their courses, there may be lingering questions about how to best address Generative AI tools, like ChatGPT, in the context of teaching and learning.
The Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), based on their work with instructors and staff across campus, has developed a suite of resources for teaching with AI, specifically targeting issues most pressing as we start the semester.
CELT designed these resources as a complement to the UK ADVANCE guidelines for the use of generative AI in instructional contexts, as well as University Senate's syllabus recommendations, both released over the past week.
The resources are available here or can be found by going to https://celt.uky.edu and selecting “AI Resources” in the top navigation menu. These web resources include:
- A brief introduction to GenAI for instructors
- Brief activities for exploring GenAI on your own
- Information on misuse and AI detectors
- Example AI course policies
- Descriptions & comparisons of popular GenAI tool
- A guide for writing your own course policy
