Using UDL to Leverage Trauma-Informed Principles

The practices of trauma-informed teaching and the evidence-based strategies of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) overlap in many areas. This session will help faculty understand some of the basic tenets of both of these teaching frameworks, and provide practical strategies that can be included in your course today.

ITA Series: Active Learning Strategies to Mitigate Language Fatigue

If English is not your first language, you may find the first couple of years as a TA creates a sense of language exhaustion because of the constant verbal and written translation in the classroom. In this workshop, participants will learn and discuss teaching strategies that can help mitigate language exhaustion.

Better Practices in Feedback

Giving and receiving feedback is an important part of any classroom experience. This Zoom workshop will help you identify the feedback loops present in your course and introduce tips and suggestions for improving feedback processes.

Enhancing your AI skills for Teaching

There is no instruction manual for knowing all there is to know about generative AI. But instructors can incorporate certain practices in their experimentation to upskill their use of AI for teaching and learning. Join us for an interactive session that invites educators to build your skills in using AI for teaching.
